Four schemes have reached preconstruction agreement stage, with Willmott Dixon strengthening its grip on early-stage work after signing deals at Strode College & Crispin School in Street and Somerton, Sale High School in Greater Manchester, and Oulton Academy in Leeds.
Morgan Sindall took the remaining PCSA at Water Meadows Primary School in Nottinghamshire.
A further six school rebuilds have also been signed off by DfE for full construction, carrying a combined value of around £162m.
Bam sealed two of the biggest jobs with secondary school rebuilds at Framwellgate School in Durham at £68m and Friesland School in Sandiacre, Derbyshire at £31m.
Bowmer & Kirkland completed the trio of major secondary wins with a £32m rebuild at Sawston Village College in Cambridgeshire.
Tilbury Douglas also added a trio of smaller schemes worth together just over £31m, covering Baskerville School in Birmingham’s SEND sector, Buckton Fields Primary in Northampton and St Cuthbert Mayne Junior Academy in Torquay.
The latest approvals follow a similar £270m batch last month, as the DfE continues to accelerate efforts to modernise ageing school estates, remove RAAC-affected buildings and drive momentum across the national Schools Rebuilding Programme.
